My name is Otis Brooks and I've been taking pictures since childhood. But I started seriously pursuing photography when I acquired my Nikon D200. I now have a D300 and though I admit that I'm drawn to the technology (I'm a mathematician with a background in Electrical Engineering when I'm not taking pictures), I know that it's not the technology alone that makes one a successful photographer. Rather, it's the proper application of composition & design, lighting & exposure, creativity & storytelling that results in consistently stunning photos. I don’t claim to be Ansel Adams reincarnate but I do commit myself to the craft. That commitment, along with a genuine joy in capturing moments in time, is what I bring to the shoot.
